CLEVELAND ANIMAL PROTECTIVE LEAGUE

This major addition and remodel of existing facilities includes office space, kenneling, and veterinarian services. A more prominent entrance is relocated to the rear of the building allowing easier access for adoption pick up and a large mural makes for an Instagram moment for families with their new pets. The design provides the APL with a coherent image that will carry them into the future.

WESTPARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL

This new 35,000 square foot animal hospital in Cleveland provides exam, surgery, medical wards, and staff space to support the growing needs of the veterinarian group and their clientele. On the exterior, a modern aesthetic is created by pairing simple, well-proportioned forms with white masonry and expansive aluminum framed windows. The interior space is designed utilizing “Fear Free” best practices to create a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners.

PET PEOPLE

Pet People is a neighborhood place for natural foods and quality supplies for dogs and cats. Clean, well-organized stores provide self-serve areas to wash pets, providing everything that is needed including standing wash tubs, shampoo, towels, and dryers. Onyx Creative provides full design services for each store that includes survey of existing spaces, spatial planning for BOH areas, construction documents including MEP, permitting, and construction administration.

tHE bARKLEY hOTEL & dAY sPA

The Barkley Pet Hotel and Day Spa is an upscale pet kennel fashioned after a posh Beverly Hills hotel. Each suite is complete with rugs, paintings, day beds, and flat screen televisions. Both cats and dogs are pampered here with grooming and therapy amenities along with an indoor play run and training pool.
